Elana Tanner has run away to the beautiful island of Kauai in an attempt to leave that ugly night behind her. The pedestrian she struck and killed that fateful evening was the drunk one, not her, but it didn’t stop his wealthy, prominent family from instigating a lengthy and expensive wrongful death suit they were never going to win.
As Elana is feeling settled into her much simpler, quieter life, who should walk into town but Kyle Barnett, the younger, not to mention sexy, brother of the victim.
