INTRODUCING THE JUICY TRIANGLE
It was early May.
Janey grabbed her books and stuffed them in her bag. Leaving her final lecture of the year, she hugged a few classmates exchanging words and smiles with those she had connected with the most. But boy was she glad the week was over. Glad that all she had left was exams.
Back at her student apartment her housemates ran to greet her.
Hey J, what's the plan for tonight? We linking Hype and Gruff?
asked Alice pruning her mixed raced curls and lighting a freshly built spliff.
Of course,
replied J, throwing down her bag and grabbing a half smoked cigarette from Maria's hand.
Maria was the third point of the self-styled ‘Juicy Triangle’ - a high class north London chick hailing from Greece. She knew about the grime from time. Since 14 she was ride or die, funding her thug lover's life of style. She had strong on road backing - experience of the black dick wasn't something she was lacking.
It’s all about the Red Rooms. I spoke to Caesar we'll be VIP'd up,
Maria bragged, referring to her man.
Well then that'll be the venue our men will be hitting. I'll holla at Hype and let him know that's where we'll be linking,
J concluded.
The three ladies scattered to their rooms. Alice cranked up her blue tooth speakers, blasting out soulful house and some funky two step.
I’m going to look good for my man tonight,
she shouted. Have any of you seen my fuchsia bra that goes with my fuchsia g-string? I ain't seen it in ages!
I ain’t ever seen it,
J shouted back as she rummaged through her closet.
I've seen it before,
responded Maria, And they weren't fuchsia they were purple!
No they weren’t. They're part of the Branca Francisco Funky range.
They were purple,
teased Maria.
Mauve,
interjected J.
Washed out, raggedy blue,
added Maria.
The girls started laughing
Shut up you slappers,
cackled Alice.
Janey enjoyed the banter between herself and her friends. Although they had their own internal, combustible arguments, they had stuck together through good and bad for 2 years. Diligently selecting her sexy garment options, she reminisced on the night that her friends commitment to her had been most severely tested - the night she had met Hype.
HALLOWEEN HYPE
Born and bred in leafy Hertfordshire, Janey had been brought up in a well to do single parent household. Since her seventh birthday, contact with her father had been……..minimal….. .
Very studious and preoccupied by extra-curricular activities as a teen, she had little time for dating and had only slept with her two serious boyfriends - both of whom were from different ethnic backgrounds to her.
Early in her first year of university she met Marcus. From a respectable working class Jamaican family, he wasn't a goon or a thug but had street sensibilities enhanced by an industrious work ethic and magnetic vibe. They were an admired (and envied) couple. The relationship made J feel sweet. She felt she was living the life she saw on Urban TV. She was no longer dealing with middle class wannabe bad boys with no experience of real street life. In her mind she had stepped up a level.
Successfully promoting parties, Marcus’ functions were usually a roadblock. It was at his Halloween gig that J met Hype. The event was blessed with top local DJs and with a renowned New York turntablist flown in, it was sure to be a rammed. J represented for her man that night, looking especially hot - the ultimate contrast to the late autumn chill outside the nightclub doors. She had reached early, her sheer chocolate legs topped off by an angled mini skirt and a couple of thick belts hanging off her curvaceous hips. The top of her 5’6" frame was covered by a tight black sequined vest top and her relaxed hair was spiked into a pseudo
