About this ebook
If you could go back in time...and witness any event...where would you go?
When Dr. Tom Greenbaum faces that question after successfully discovering the secret to time travel, he knows the time, place and event he will witness: the death and failed resurrection of Jesus Christ. Dr. David Goodman, Tom's colleague and closest friend follows Tom into the past, attempting to avert a time-space catastrophe, but forces beyond their control toss them into a dangerous end game where they are tempted by evil characters, betrayed by friends, pursued by an assassin from the future and haunted by a demon that cannot be killed.
ORIGINS EDITION: Re-edited, revised, repackaged and expanded, this new edition of The Didymus Contingency is superior to all that came before. Be sure to look for Robinson's other Origins Editions, which include re-releases of his first five novels.
PRAISE FOR THE DIDYMUS CONTINGENCY
"Jeremy Robinson's novel THE DIDYMUS CONTINGENCY blends the cutting-edge science of Crichton with the religious mystery of the LEFT BEHIND series to create his own unique and bold thriller. It is a fast-paced page-turner like no other. Not to be missed!"
-- James Rollins, international bestseller of BLACK ORDER and THE JUDAS STRAIN
“[A] thrilling and fast-paced "what if?" scenario.”
-- MidWest Book Review
“What surprised me, with [Robinson’s] take on the possibility of two 21st century men meeting Jesus, was the utter lack of predictability... He offers a new perspective on ripping apart the time-space continuum I am shocked no one has ever considered before now.”
-- Round Table Reviews
“[A] rollicking adventure... The story opens explosively and is laced with suspense and humor. Robinson writes quite well and is an up-and-coming author to watch... we'll hear, read, and see a great deal more from him in the future.”
-- Christian Book Previews
“...Wonderfully executed. This is a traditional thriller (think Crichton) with a focus on the penultimate Christian event (do not think LEFT BEHIND.) ...DIDYMUS will have you reading until you hit the final page. ...It is a super page-turner and a thought-provoker.”
-- POD-DY MOUTH
“...action filled, page turning journey through time. ...a well written, thought provoking piece of science fiction, which is also at times both touching and humorous.”
-- TMC Reviews

Reviews for The Didymus Contingency

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The idea of the story and the context of the story were really fantastic. However, I believe that the character of Tom was rather malicious in his attempt to discredit Jesus. Sure he said he was a non-believer and he was angry about his wife's death, but what was the point of time traveling back to the time of Christ and making an ass of himself? He had this wonderful technology available to him and he wasted it like this. The two scientists also didn't seem as concerned with changing history after they got there than they did before they went.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This continues to be one of my favorite books from Robinson, and indeed it was the very first book of his I ever read - I've now read all but less than a handful. Yes, it was that good that it got me hooked for about four dozen books over the last decade. You really can't go wrong with this book - even if you're not a Christian. It is simply an amazing story that has stood the test of time. (And hey... maybe it could yet be used in his Avengers Level Event he recently kicked off in another book...)
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Two Scientists discover time travel. One of them had suffered a tragedy earlier in his life and wanted to go back to debunk the life of Jesus. The author made Jesus not just the Son of God but a man, with feelings and emotions like the rest of us. Some devout Christians may be offended by this but I found it endearing. After all, he was a man who walked among us. I cried through his death and rejoiced in his resurrection. This book was a very good read. [close]
