ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Mr. Leroy A. Brown is an Organic Farming Consultant specializing in project and overall farm management, farm and business plans development, converting to organic and getting certified, marketing, sales, research, grant and proposal writing, and international trade.
Additionally, he has been consulted on growing warm crops in cold climates; roof top and urban gardening; determining suitability of land for organic farming; growing crops; rearing animals; and setting up a farm business among other things.
He has assisted farm operations across Canada; participated in creating and managing urban gardens in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA); and farmed in various provinces.
Mr. Brown is a member of several farm and environmental organizations nationally and internationally.
Mr. Brown has been involved in organic agriculture from farming and attending workshops, to participating in drafting standards and policy.
In addition to his years of involvement in gardening and farming, he has developed skills, knowledge and experience in other areas such as logistics, business, recycling and waste management.
He is a dedicated supporter of farming and environmental causes, both professionally and voluntarily.
