I am an Nebraskan author, writing has been a hobby of mine for many years. Even if I don't get much of a chance to do so (at least for the past few years any ways). I tend to be more geared to write about the past and based around or during historical events. Most of my books are fictional however such as the “Religions Similarities” is non-fictional, theory book. I love to write and I hope that you will enjoy them also.

Also the victims of religious discrimination.

And the protectors of freedoms, and freedom of Religion.

    Introduction

This book is not meant to convert any one to any religion, it is to help those who are willing to learn, to see the similarities of the religions. To help the cause of stopping the religious discrimination. That still happens in present day.

With the new coming of Wicca and the old ways of the Pagans again coming forth from hiding, they face a horrible amount of discrimination. Almost all of today’s religions has suffered from such a thing some worse and others very lightly. With this book I hope that I can ease that and open the hearts and minds of others. I have met Wiccans and Pagans in person and online, and in all truth they are just like rest of us. They do not have green faces and naturally odd colored hair (such as pinks, and greens).

With this book I will show you many religions and their similarities, of course this book does not include all religions. But the common religions that one learns by mythology and historical classes. Some also as seen in documentaries, and a few of those that are facing the current discrimination.

With recent media of movies, books and television shows, a new birth of fear is developed. Most with the hit book series, I personally read the books to my child for bed time stories. And I have not seen any mentioning if any of these character being actual pagans. Its not a religion in the stories, it is that these special characters are wizards, and sorceress. They have a gift of magic, nothing religious about it.

In a society that can and makes it open to believe in UFOS and aliens. But for one to believe in magic in our own world seems to be so wrong and in the past would be considered a heretic. Who knows if wizards, and sorceress do or do not really exist. I admit I have never met one myself, but then again I have also never met an alien or seen a UFO. But in a way I have seen God’s magic of creation and the rainbow of gifts he has giving us to enjoy.

In times even before the birth of the (more well know wizard) Merlin, it was common place to have magic in every kingdom. It was considered political incorrect if the royal court did not have a wizard, sorceress, herbalist, soothsayer, and a seer of the future. These all of which was very common place among the culture, they gave hope and wisdom. They are the makings of the greatest legends ever created.

I have done some research in other religions, I chose to first study those of which came from my heritage such as the Scottish Celtic and the Denmark’s Norse religions. These two are very common to each other. And by doing so I learned more about my ancestors, and appreciated their belief systems, what they lived, died, and fought for. And where they held their hopes and dreams. I do plan on doing future researches on other parts of my heritage such as the Native American religious systems. I will truly say I encourage others to take the time and do a little research of their own heritage religions. You may find that it can bring you closer to your ancestors, and you might get a taste of life as it was then.

    Chapter 1

    Religious Discrimination

Through the centuries there has been some kind of discrimination of some sort. Race,

Gender, langue, and Religion. Religious discrimination has been a very powerful one throughout time. It has been the root and the cause to start wars and crusades. One might say this has been the bloodiest of all the ways to discriminate. If you notice throughout history the common thread of religious discrimination is in steps
