About this ebook

Timothy Adams, Author of "True Story", Co written and edited by Jeanniene Brown. In this book you'll find that in late 1994, Mr. Adams also known as Smitty, life was changed forever when he was captured by the U.S. marshal's for a drug offense in North Carolina. Although his case was not widely covered by the local News papers down in Winston-Salem, N.C., with the assistance of a private investigator, Mr. Adams was able to obtain documents that show's that his sixth amendment right to a conflict free attorney was violated during his trial.

You'll also understand the set up and trials and tribulations of what Mr. Adams went through from the time he was arrested, to the county jails and his court appearances.

Mr. Adams was never told that his former trial attorney from Winston-Salem N.C. represented a potential witness in a substantially related case. In 2008 here at F.C.I. Fairton New Jersey, I felt compelled to share my experiences, my trials and tribulations with the world by writing my story. So with the help of self publishing and Ms. Jeanniene Brown I received the confidence that I needed to write my story.

In my story you'll find that I was sentenced to a LIFE imprisonment based on hearsay testimony of informant's trading their testimony for a reduction of their sentences and crimes of their own. Mr. Adams has served (17) years of his 10-LIFE mandatory minimum sentence for a dry conspiracy of no actual drugs. But however, due to the recent changes in the Federal laws called the Fair Sentencing act, the mandatory minimum was reduced but was not made retroactive. Congress has introduced a retroactivity bill in June of 2011 and the bill is expected to pass late this year. But in June the sentencing Commission made the federal guideline part of the fair sentencing acts retroactive. This bill is accepted to free over 12,000.00 inmates. In True Story, you'll learn more about the fair Sentencing Act that congress passed.

This book is part of the Social Media Phenomenon, which I hope will revolutionize the world. I hope that you'll learn as well as enjoy my story. Thank you.

    Prologue

I hereby affirm that this story is a complete tale of truth, not as I see it, but as it really is. All names have been changed, photographs and depictions of documents are real.

All names have been changed to protect the identities of those want to remain anonymous at the time of this printing.

    Dedication

This book is dedicated to my dear mother, Ms. Alice Adams. You never left my side throughout my trials and tribulations. You were there through it all from day one.

Also my friend by the name of Henk Rommy aka Cobra, for believing that I should write this book exposing my case to the whole world.

    A Few Acknowledgements

First and foremost, I would like to thank God for keeping me on the right path and away from those who seek to do me harm, Flytye, Frog, Big Dee, and the others I did not mention, because the list goes on and on, however, they know who they are. As Tupac once said, I ain’t mad at cha. You made me a better man, and I can only pray that no more souls become jaded as a result of your deceitful ways. Now for my real cats who stood strong through this fraudulent ordeal with the corrupted Federal System, continue to fight and keep the spirit alive, because one day you’ll be home, The Crew.

I just wanted to say something to all the rappers. You guys are very entertaining and the beats to your music very effective, but your lyrics are addictive to this young generation and in my opinion, you need a bit of toning down. I am not here to judge nor to put down, just think about what I’m saying to you brothers. We are killing our black families at a whole sale rate. Its time for us to wake up!!!! Too many of us have fallen victims to a war on the black race.

The snitching rate is 98% while the 2% goes to trial. You cannot win! Please, wake up and clean up your acts. Stop the madness and create something out of nothing.

Please keep in mind that my case was based on hearsay and that I am still actively fighting my case. This story is about my struggles with a fraudulent case and being in prison for 17 years. Please read carefully. This book is a part of the Social Media Phenomenon , that I hope will revolutionize the world. Thank You for taking the time out to read my story

    Strange Vibes

I have never in my life been a very superstitious person. Well not in the don’t step on the cracks in the sidewalk sort of way. However, I do believe in vibes. If I had listened to those intuitive feelings from the start, I might not have ever had to endure the hardships these last seventeen years. Yes that’s right, seventeen. To better illustrate what I’m talking about, let me tell you how this all came to be.

They say most curses are meant to last only seven years. If that’s true, either I was placed under two curses or someone really had it out for me personally
