About this ebook
Trescotham Hall is a unique school especially for girls who have suddenly developed enhanced abilities or ‘Ants’ as they call them. ‘They’re NOT Superpowers’ as Molly tells her annoying brother, as everyone will eventually have them. The girls have just jumped a few stages of evolution and got there first.
The story tells the origins of Trescotham Hall and a surprise family connection. Join the pupils and their wondrous new inventions, along with technology most of us can only dream of today. But how will the girls deal with the very real danger to their school, and will they cope, putting their Ants to the test in the real world for the very first time?

I don't know what made me decide to publish my first book at this moderately advanced stage in my life. I've only just started calling it a book, really. 'Molly's story' was how I thought of the growing chapters I was writing for my grandaughter. The first comments I received from family when I told them my book was available to download was, 'When have you had time to write a book?'. I hadn't told anyone....just in case.As an avid reader since before I went to school (according to my late father), I have passed my love of books to my three daughters and now to my five grandchildren. I love to snuggle up with the little ones as they clamour for more 'Adventures with Nanna', impossible tales made up as we go along, with all the actions enthusiastically acted out. So I suppose these stories have paved the way for putting my imaginings down for posterity. The Ants of Trescotham Hall is full of advanced technology that I long for! There are also some semi-autobiographical elements in the backstory of Sarah Thompson, one of the founders of Trescotham and grandmother to the main character, Molly. My grandchildren love their first names being used in my stories.I am working on the second installment whenever I get time. I have my own business as a mortgage broker so, with the current market, I can sometimes get a few hours spare, but not many. I would love to earn enough from writing to do it full time but I know the odds are against this happening, but that's no reason to give up!I know how my favourite author Agatha Christie felt when she said she didn't class herself as a proper author until much later in her incredibly successful career. I feel slightly uncomfortable at the label too. Although, even if I have no commercial success at all, I will still continue to publish my stories for my family. Perhaps it's only a selfish way of linking myself to the amazing future I am so annoyed that I will miss.
