Reviews for The Intuitive Warrior

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5As a Christian I know some of the points noted in this book are correct: Fasting and prayer casts out unbelief, love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), love our enemies and pray for them, and cast down negative thoughts (1 Corinthians). I also know you can be led by the spirit to know things you couldn't possibly know.
However he mixes in a lot of spiritualism that is highly dangerous. Empty minded meditation (true meditation should be focused on God's Word) if not you leave yourself an empty house for a strongman to claim.
The author refers to Jesus as Yeshua while referring to Allah, Buddha, and Moses by their anglicized names. He does this (even if he doesn't realize why) because he knows Jesus is lord but cannot bear to acknowledge his lordship. This is why this book should not be read. All Christians and unbelievers who want to walk according to spirit and truth which passes all knowledge (this author calls it intuition) should read the Bible and practice biblical principles. They should learn from Andrew Wommack, Kenneth Hagin, and other grounded teachers but mainly the Bible.
This author has a form of truth that has no doubt enabled him to save lives but that doesn't mean his supernatural feats are grounded in God's righteousnes. The bible speaks of men and women like him who in life did amazing, even unexplainable things, but did not do it under the authority given by Christ. The bible says on judgment day that people will say to Jesus I did mighty works for you, Jesus will reply, "I never knew you, depart from me." Such may be the fate of Mr. Jaco. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Substance: Insightful, interesting, and relevant to spiritual quest and military training. Style: Could have used a good editor.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Interesting read if you're interested in finding out how he used his intuition in battles as a Navy Seal. Great stories.
