The Valley of the Singing Girl

About this ebook
Once, long ago, the ruler of a mountainous Asian nation sought counsel from a Tibetan holy man on how he could help lead his people through change. The holy man gave the leader a magic flute that would drastically change his life. This is the story of that flute which led the leader on a journey of self-realization. The flute would eventually lead him to a young farm girl who had the most divine singing voice in the world. When she sang, people wept at the beauty of it and people were also healed. What happened when the flute, the leader, and the singing girl got together is an event of divine proportions. A very moving story.

I am Recktold. I have lived many times upon your planet. I have witnessed the triumphs and struggles of humankind. I have been involved in many of its finest dramas.
I have seen the people of this earth fight each other as they learn the full spectrum of this magical reality. It is a reality upon which we have initiated the grandest of stories. It is a place I have called home many times.
Now my home is in the spiritual realms just outside of this reality looking in on the world I have loved, awaiting my next adventure.
I am here to recount a story we all experienced in a different time and place. Remembering this story may be of help in dealing with the current state of the world.
The world now is in a state of drastic change. Anyone that is not changing along with the world will not be able move into the glorious place that change is taking us into. It is our resistance to change that keeps us from moving quickly into the new paradigm. It is also our resistance to change that makes for drama and trauma.
What kind of change we are going through needs to be identified, and then the resistance needs to be identified. We can react to change or we can implement change. We can resist it, too, but that always proves futile.

I have seen several civilizations crumble simply because they refused to change. A tree that does not bend in the wind will lose its limbs in a windstorm. Civilizations are built with stone to stand up to those winds of change, but the stone buildings are merely the vessels that hold the life. People can build thick walls to protect themselves from the winds of change, but in the end only the thick walls will remain.
We are all on a long journey. At certain points along the way we meet up with fellow journeyers. We call that a civilization. We then follow the winds of change on our journey until we get to the next big meeting of fellow journeyers. That will be a new civilization, but it will be a meeting of the same souls--at least for the most part. Going with the flow of change, the important thing is the fellow journeyers and the lessons learned together. The stone buildings are easily left for the winds to very slowly blow down.
It is amazing how human thought and feeling can follow us on our journeys from one civilization to another. All of our thoughts search for completion somewhere down the line. One would think that this fact alone would push us to be more consciously aware of our thoughts.

Notice I use the terms us and we; as though I am one of you reading this. I am. I am a grand soul just like each of you. But I am no better or worse than any of you. I am not some holier-than-thou spook who sits above everyone else, tossing out aphorisms like dried bread to a gaggle of hungry geese. I am one of you. I am just a friend who volunteered to stay back a little while in order to send some pre-arranged messages. I am merely playing my part as one of the group. As soon as I deliver this story I am, as you say, outa here…
So who is this Recktold, you ask? I have my entity name and I have also gone by hundreds of other names while in Earth sojourns, but Recktold is the name I picked out of all my other names to use in conjunction with
