About the Author

Cecilia Gray lives in the San Francisco Bay Area where she reads, writes and breaks for food. She also pens her biographies in the third person. Like this. As if to trick you into thinking someone else wrote it because she is important. Alas, this is not the case.

She’s rather enamored of being contacted by readers and hopes you’ll oblige.

Also too short to get into the story too much, but very cute like the rest of this series.

Not my favorite books by this author, but fun and cute.

Lady Hanna Morton has loved the guy next door all her life. And all she wants is his love back. Her father has deceived to move to the country and leave his daughter behind with the neighbors who is also friends of the family. Hanna's father wants her to have a season and Lady Landale has agreed to help. But Lady Landale also has another plan in her mind for Hanna.Hayden Banks, the guy next door that Hanna loves. He laughed at her when she told him she loved him when they were younger. Now thanks to a little wager that he has with his mom, Lady Landale he is helping Hanna find a husband. Will this be his wake up call or will things not turn out as the parents hopes?I have enjoyed reading this series. It has become one on favorites. I couldn't put the book down. Cecilia has become one of my favorite authors. I can't wait to read her other books. I recommend this book and series to others to read.

I normally find Cecilia Gray's books to be sweet fun reads, but I felt like this one could have used a little more direction. The premise of the book is that Hanna Morton has been in love with Hayden Banks for her whole life. She even tells him this once when she is 12. Hayden is a mathematician and only believes in things that can be proved and believes that there is no evidence that she loves him or that he loves her. Hanna's father sells her childhood home and Hayden's mom offers to let Hanna stay with her and launch her into society to help her find a husband. Hanna looks at this as her last opportunity to prove to Hayden that she loves him. I think what bothered me the most about this story was the lack of development between the characters. There is very little insight and conversation for either and it makes it hard to believe in the final reveal of their emotions.
