INTRODUCTION

Every day there are millions of people around the world who bet on sports and racing in the hope of making some money in the process. Most do it for fun, some try to solve their financial problems with a big win that never comes, and a few make a living from sports betting.

I have put this ebook together for those who do like to have a few dollars on a sports bet, or on the races, and who would like to be a long term winner, rather than always lose.

I suppose the first question we should ask is, ‘is it possible?’

Is it really possible for a hack punter like you, or me, to make money? I believe the answer is ‘Yes’, but only if you are disciplined and stick to some basic rules.

What is my interest in all this I hear you ask?

Well, I am naturally interested in numbers, and I love looking for patterns, so looking for trends and patterns in sports betting numbers and in the racing codes is something that comes naturally to me.

I have worked as a statistician in two sports, rugby and cricket, I have been a sports administrator at an international level and I have represented my country in a sport. I have been involved in online sports professionally for nearly 20 years.

I also have a publicly proven record in harness racing tips that show a profit of over 10%.

Whilst I personally am the sort of guy who just puts a dollar or two on any wager, mainly for the fun of it, I know that some people do make money out of this, and that it is possible. I know that when I put my mind to it, I do make money from it. However, I am also aware that most people lose money on sports betting and in racing – it is the nature of the beast.

The sports betting industry is designed to make losing easy for you, so don’t feel bad about it. But if you want to get even and then get ahead, here is your chance.
