About this ebook
Preface
A book of poetry powerfully expressing the different accounts of Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States of America, during his ascension toward the White House. Taking extreme care in keeping it challenging and stimulating, exposing many different viewpoints upon his stepladder of accomplishments.
From out of an era, an environment that loves to believe that we get where we are by self-will and strong determination, this book views President Obama’s ascension from a different tilt or point of view. Sometimes in our world things just happen the way they do, because they are supposed to happen that way.
Once, maybe twice, during any century a person will appear that has an ability to brush against the lives of millions and millions of different people. While leaving a gracious impression that they were there, President Barack Hussein Obama, is one of those rare individuals that have emerged during our era. The question yet unanswered about him, what influence if any to our great nation our world will he leave behind in his footprints?

Toot
Grandmother of Barack Obama,
cornerstone of the Dunham clan.
Guiding influence through his life,
unusual conditions how it began.
A regular woman from Kansas,
wanting no more then the rest.
Safe, and secure place for her family,
to be all they could was her quest.
Never seeing a Yellow Brick Road,
or residing in a mansion by the sea.
Madelyn Lee Dunham was ordinary,
wanting her clan educated and free.
Wouldn’t stand out in the masses,
or be picked as a movie star.
To her family she was more then that,
a temperate persuader even from afar.
In her twenties married to Stanley,
gave birth to her daughter Stanley Ann.
Life was full of dreams and promises,
grabbing for it with a strong hand.
Destiny awaited this woman’s future,
didn’t know while riveting those planes.
Became Vice-President of an Hawaiian Bank,
ordinary little girl from those Kansas Plains.
Many accomplishments to be proud of,
knew how to turn lemons into lemonade.
Main guiding force with young Barry,
demeanor of quiet, yet firm, never strayed.
Barack, called his grandmother Toot,
for him she was all of that.
An endearment for Grandparent in Hawaii,
woman who everyday wore a special hat.
Like loved ones who pass on to cancer,
knowing she had done her part.
Imparting a legacy of many indifferences,
well-known as a lady with a big heart.

Barry Obama
Barry, or Rock, or even Obama,
nicknames gathered over the years.
Was he trying to hide who he was,
or struggling to secrete many fears.
Some thought he was in self-absorption,
no more than a mask to hide the pain.
If one doesn’t think highly of themselves,
how can they travel a road to ascertain.
Arrogance, pride, are traits one gathers,
while traveling a road to identity.
Wedged in the persona of a teenager,
awkward, and unsure, to
