BLOODY MARY`S SISTER
Nadine sat around a table with her two friends Susan and Ann, chatting over coffee as the day came to a close. They had just finished preparing for the Valentine’s Day party that Nadine planned for the weekend.
The moon was full and occupied the sky with luminance. Light tried to make itself known through the windows. Only a few beams streaked the shiny wooden floor while the moon shifted upward. Once the darkness set in, it filled the room with coldness.
Did you feel that?
Ann asked while she slid her hands up and down her arms.
Feel what?
Nadine asked.
That cool air, it gave me chills. Look at the goose bumps I got.
Do you want a sweater or something?
Would you mind?
Not at all,
Nadine said as she stood from the table and walked to the other room.
Don’t you find it odd that Nadine doesn’t have a spouse and is hosting a Valentine’s Day party?
Susan asked.

You think that’s creepy? Then you must not have heard the story of what happened some years back.
What story?
Susan was quick to ask.
Are you sure that you want to hear this?
Oh, come on, you have our curiosity now.
Well I’ll tell it the best I can,
Nadine said as she lit a cigarette and pulled her feet up on the chair.

Mary had not loved a man in the way she loved Carl. She became angry and
