To my readers for giving me hope that I can write (you know who you are). And to myself for being horny and hating my job so much that this is the kind of stuff my mind is forced to wander off and think about it.

He showed up a couple of weeks before Christmas, an impressive package of dark hair, fiery eyes, deep dimples, and round shoulders all trimmed with a baby blue tie Tess wanted to pull on. The company must really like my work, she had joked to herself. They bought me a present this year.

Years later she had thought back on that statement and laughed at how right she had been, but on the day they’d first met, Tess had given the new guy one last admiring glance then ducked into her cubicle and lost the image of his sexy face in the tidal wave of pointless emails and unpaid invoices she had to deal with.

By the time his trainer brought him around to meet everyone in accounts payable, she had almost forgotten him. Her smile beamed up at him as Tess swiveled in her chair and rose to shake his hand, all too aware that is was the smile she reserved for late nights in stranger’s bedrooms. Tess couldn’t remember much else about that day. She couldn’t even remember the name of the girl who had been training him, some pasty blond who’d been fired shortly after, but for the rest of her life, she would never forget the moment she first heard the name, Mick Michaels.

About a hundred different ways to make fun of that name popped into her head as soon as Tess heard it, but they flew from her mind the moment his hand touched hers. Handshakes are supposed to be firm, quick, and to the point, but though in real time that’s surely all it was, in that slowed down moment when future lovers first touch, so much more than automated politeness happened.

Their hands did not simply clasp together in a quickly forgotten dictate of first greetings. Their fingertips lingered indecently, touching with delicate exploration, savoring that first contact of flesh. Tess could have sworn she felt them circling each other. As his hand moved into hers, their digits slid together like two twining bodies in a desperate vulgar heat until, at last, their palms embraced so perfectly that Tess knew how it would feel when their bodies finally met. There, amidst a sea of clicking keyboards, behind the windowless walls of a mundane accounting department, a spark of sexual desire snapped to life and ignited the kindling.

Tingles went off all over Tess’s body as she managed to say her name and felt him move a little closer. Their hands stayed locked, the heat grew between them, and their eye’s fucked right there in front of everyone. It was one of those animal moments we get with the right person at the right time, full of sin, and shame, and scintillating possibilities.

Tess tuned out whatever Casper the training girl had to say. She fixed her face on Mick’s with all her devious desires written across it for him to read. The dented dimples of his smile told Tess he liked what he read. She would come to know that smile well throughout the years. It would always shine as sharp as the slaps he so often gave her naked bottom, and it would never fail to excite her as much as those sweet stings to her behind.

All too soon he was pulled away by blondie, ushered like a thorough bred on parade through the narrow alley of over decorated cubes that lead into the heart of AP. Tess watched as a parade of female heads popped up like frantic prairie dogs sniffing for a hand out. They would drool and ogle and think filthy things just like she had, but they were all married, or fat, or both.

Tess popped back into her chair and faced the glow of her dual monitors, laughing a little at how flustered he had made her. She caught her breath, reminded herself where she was, and pretended to read an email while mentally listing all the reasons she was sure it had only been a handshake. Tess had almost come to believe that when she heard the new guy and his albino trainer walking back towards her cube.

She swiveled her chair just enough to catch him passing in her peripheral vision. Her head stayed fixed on a monitor she wasn’t watching, and her fingers clicked a stream of nonsense as her ears strained to listen to his conversation with the wispy slice of white cheddar.

Well that’s everyone in AP, she told him. Don’t worry, we don’t quiz you on the names until next week, she said, lamely giggling at her pathetic flirtation.

Oh, I think I can remember the important ones, Mick’s deep voice boomed as he came back into Tess’s vision. He stared right at her as he said it, and there was no mistaking what he wanted this time.

His eyes rushed her on the spot, and she could feel them pin her to the desk and tear off every shred of her clothing. She swiveled her seat full around to let his imagination have its way with her, stretching like a cat as his impish smile reluctantly twisted forward to let him see where he was going.

As Mick and the long-forgotten trainer crossed the empty space that separated AP and Inventory, Tess stuck her head out to evaluate his backside. A wonderful V rippled tightly against his businessman’s shirt and naturally steered her eyes all the way down to a delicious ass she would one day leave teeth marks in. A thick set of muscled thighs was practically bursting out of the black dress pants that blocked his flesh from Tess’s view. She would be amazed at how hard they felt when she finally clasped her hands around them, but that first day, Tess just bit her lower lip as she watched his backside move, unaware of all the scratches her nails would eventually carve into it.

When Mick finally disappeared into his cubicle, Tess did the same. She tried to get back into her work, but even if it hadn’t been repetitive and boring, it’s hard as hell to pay invoices when your panties are soaked.

The new guy had been all the talk amongst the AP ladies for the rest of the week. Tess was
