Introduction
This book is derived from a dialog with Master Arthur Rosenfeld that took place in November of 2011. As part of the Martial Arts Lineage Project, this discussion revolves around the development of Chen-Style Tai Chi as it has evolved from Eastern cultures into the West and offered its benefits to a society in need of philosophical, medical, and spiritual guidance. Master Rosenfeld shares lessons he has learned along the path of his life and offers insights into the historical development of tai chi as a battlefield art built on a tripod of Chinese medicine, body mechanics, and Taoist philosophy.
It is with great pleasure that I bring you this discourse—which I am sure you will thoroughly enjoy—with the brilliant and insightful Master Arthur Rosenfeld.
