In the world created by this author, the blood drinkers were actually descended from the Adam just like the mortals of today. What if the stories about Cain and Abel weren't all true? What if Cain wasn't actually cursed but given the task of protecting the Tree of Life? These questions and more helped to inspire the story behind some of the poems in this collection. Fascination with their erotic nature helped to inspire the rest.

Dedication

The fascination with Immortals and vampires in particular is one I share with many people, but a few of have been instrumental in putting the idea for this collection in my head. As I started writing the poems in these pages, the idea for an entire series of novels based on how the first vampire came to be popped into my now very cluttered brain. What if all the stories about the biblical Cain weren’t true? What if we only knew a small part of the story? What if there was much more to being an immortal, and a vampire than we ever knew?
