Being born and raised within the military life, he saw the world around him and began to take notice of things that many people take for granted. He is patriotic, loves his country, and has even served it like his father, grandfather, and many of his ancestors. But, it was more than just being exposed to different places, people, and culture or even world events. David also has Asperger's Syndrome, which is a high functioning form of Autism, which was diagnosed in 2009.
Being Autistic, he refuses to see it as a curse, but a blessing. It has not only allowed him to be observant to the smallest of details; it has also given him a God-granted gift to write. Thus, this book of poetry has been born from his very thoughts, observations, dreams, anxieties, and more. Within these pages, as you read, perhaps you may find meaning for yourself as David did from writing them. It may also help to understand the mind of one with one form of Autism.view less
