Authors Note
My name is Brian Trudgen. I have been writing poetry since I was ten years old, in which I called myself Black rose
. I had a lot of rough times in my life that sparked my interest in writing. It seemed to be a good way to release my feelings without causing harm to myself. Most of my poetry has never been seen by my family in fear that they would not understand my views on things.
My poetry has been a huge support to my life and has helped me through a lot. I have tried to expand my talents as well into song writing, novels, and short stories.
Some of the poetry you will read was written not only in my own name but also as a screen name I used on a popular blog sight. The screen name Ravenous73
I came up with in order to write my poetry on a non-biased setting in which I could get an honest opinion of my talent as a poet. To my surprise, my poetry was accepted among many poets, and various artists. I then received a lot of responses to write a book and so Ravenous Rose
was born.
Special thanks to all my family and friends as well as the fellow bloggers at Mindsay.com. Thanks for your support in my poetry.
Sincerely,
Brian William Trudgen

1: Fallen Rose
The winds blow hard through a field of dreams and hope. A pedal falls to the ground from a rose once given to someone special from a man with love and aspiration for a life of happiness.
With each pedal comes pain and blood of this man, pulling out any roots in which he stands on. Left lying on the ground to wither away these pedals darken as the world steps on them and kicks them away, leaving them helpless and crippled by their painful blows.
Faced with death and painful memories, it struggles to live and grow and bloom once again for another that may find it more special and meaningful.
So with all it has left it starts to build the roots in which it will
