    Dedication

I would like to dedicate this book to the greatest father a girl could ever dream of, Antoine Emmanuel Exile. You are not here to see it but you always believed in me even when no one else did. You taught me what unconditional love is and I will love you forever even in your absence. I love you Daddy and

I hope I made you proud.

I would also like to dedicate this book to every

person who has been told you won’t ever amount

    to anything; that your past will hinder your future;

that you’re not qualified. To all the outcasts and

the underdogs— this is written proof that they

were right about one thing: you won’t amount to

anything; You will amount to EVERYTHING be-

    cause God said it!!

    Foreword

    Greetings to all who read:

You are now embracing a piece of literature filled with tools and wisdom to help you recover and make it through any- thing Satan or life’s difficulties may bring your way. If you have ever had an issue, not just physical or spiritual, but a combination of both and don’t know how you will make it, you have hope now. Sometimes God has to allow someone to experience situations you are experiencing that mirror your situation or cause you to see that yours isn’t as tough as it may seem. Well, God chose Paulette Exile to be that prototype for a group of women and even men to reveal his power and deliverance, available to all.

As you read this book, you will find it to be a road- map to destiny and a prescription for recovery. Paulette is a woman whom God has equipped, empowered, and allowed her take all of her experience in order to create a recipe that will cause you to see what life has been birthing in you all these years. She has been chosen for such a time as this to bring something fresh and pure to the literary world.

As you read this precious print you will be touched in areas that you would normally hide behind, blessed in an area that looked like a curse, and delivered from a place called mental disaster. Paulette, a female Paul, has now writ- ten her own epistle and I pray that it will bless you and allow you to experience recovery. Most of all, let it teach you how to use your past to fuel your future.

Paulette, I appreciate your being able to be blessed by our ministry. Indeed you have turned misery into a message of joy. May God bless, keep you and, may God take this message and pay you for all you had to go through to pen this; and that, only God knows.

Heavenly father, make this story ring out for ages and leave an inheritance for her son Spencer and daughter Kimberly to look back on and say THAT’S MY MOMMA.

My name is Dr. Todd M. Hall and I approve this message!

    Chapter 1

    Who Are You?

Mark 5:25 And a certain woman which had an is- sue of blood for twelve years.

When God began to deal with me and my issues, He led me to a popular story in the New Testament. It is commonly known as the Woman with the Issue of Blood. The first thing that struck me was that there was no mention of the woman’s name. She wasn’t known for the family she was apart of. We don’t know if she was born from a family of wealth and lost all of her money trying to receive help from doctors. We don’t know if she had ever been married. Nothing. Not even a name.

    Our issues

    consume us so

    much that we

    sometimes,

    ourselves,

    identify with

    them more

    than we iden-

    tify with who

    we really are.

Then it dawned on me: this woman wasn’t a person with a name. To everyone around her, she was just an issue. She was a label that people associated negative things to. And the truth is, many times we are known more for our issues than we are for our name. Our issues can consume us so much that we sometimes, ourselves, identify with them more than we identify with who we really are.

Being the youngest of seven siblings, I was born in a comfortable nest. I have childhood memories of being pampered and showered with affection from all angles...

    She is so cute!

    Look at those beautiful dimples!

The compliments and accolades were too numerous to number in my younger years.

Then my parents divorced when I was five and decided to separate their children and part ways. Brilliant idea. My father took the three oldest girls and my mother took the three youngest. My eldest brother was born and raised in Haiti by my maternal grandmother. My father moved to Miami, Florida and my mother stayed in Nassau, Bahamas, the place where I was born. Then, all of a sudden, at age nine, my mother relocated us to Miami as well.

Talk about a culture shock! These children were the meanest creatures on the face of the earth.
