    Love:

    William Robert Helmsley (A.K.A. Billy Bob) reached the point in his life where he has everything he needs: friends, money, a beautiful home, and a fancy sailboat. Now he wants to settle down, get married, and have children. He knows Laura is the perfect match, but Laura hesitates.

    Protection:
    Laura is a desk jockey for the CIA. She runs an efficient office that manages a database for weapons of mass destruction. She never imagined that she could be the target of terrorists that are willing to torture her to get what they want. William, an ex-Navy Seal, protects her as long as he can. He whisks her away to his hunting lodge in a secluded woods where they can’t be found. Now she is safe from the terrorists, but is her heart safe from William’s desires?

    Growth:
    Laura never wanted to be a CIA field agent, managing her office was all the excitement she needed. But she took courses in self-defense, small arms training, and a counter-terrorist evasive driving course because it looked good on her resume, and boosted her salary. Terrorists track down and threaten Laura and William in hopes of torturing her to the point that she gives up the information in her CIA database. Her survival, and that of the man she is falling in love with, depends on her ability to outthink, and outfight, the ruthless people who demand the location of the nukes in her database.

    Doubts:
    Laura doubts that she will live through her first date with William, but if she does, she has a decision to make—Is William Mr. Redneck, or Mr. Right?

In the end, my hope is that you enjoy venturing into my make-believe world as we go on adventures around the world, and maybe even into space (hint about one of my adventure books in the making).Finally, I must confess that the most challenging puzzle I found is the human heart. What makes us tick? Why do we do the things we do, sometimes with full conviction, sometimes with hesitation? What makes us happy and sad, sometimes both at the same time? These are questions that I like to broach in my writing. Relationships are complicated, but only because we are complicated. To understand a relationship we must understand the "other" person, and to that end we must understand ourselves first because with all of our differences, we also have much in common. Under standing ourselves, our strengths and weaknesses, is the first step to understanding others.Ansley
