Thanks for your interest in my books. I write about personal finance and design crossword puzzles. You can decide whether that's a healthy combination or something that requires treatment! Either way, here's a brief summary of my philosophy on each. Almost everything we do from providing for our families to preparing for retirement is a financial transaction of some sort. Sadly, it's the uneducated participants in our modern economy who lose. The good news is that understanding money is not rocket science. You don't have to be a math genius and most of what you need to know for financial success is common sense. My goal is to explain financial matters in plain English so that everyone can make the most of what they've got. My wife got me interested in crosswords and collaborates with me on many aspects of those books. Our goal is to design puzzles which, aside from the theme entries, can be solved using general knowledge. You won't need to know obscure authors or random Academy Award winners to fill the grids successfully. But it will help if you like puns, wordplay, and misleading clues.
