Welcome Home A**hole and Death Waiver: Two Kick A** Stories
()
About this ebook
In this new series we're paying tribute to the classic theater experience. We're pairing up two great, similarly themed tales and giving them to you in one easy-to-enjoy bundle.
Just like at the box office these adventures are meant to be enjoyed in a single sitting.
Tonight's "Action" double feature starts off with one man's attempt to return to his hometown and troubled past and it's called, "Welcome Home Asshole."
Our second story finds us smack dab in the middle of the world of mixed martial arts, organized crime, and one man's attempt to do what is right for the only person left on the planet that he loves.
Michael Esser
First, I have to admit that I am a self-confessed lover of all things geeky, sci-fi, or superhero-related. I honestly feel everything is made better when you have fun experiencing it. For that reason, I write like I want to read: light, logical, and very easy to digest. (No long-winded prose or two-page scene descriptions here!)Zombies, space, monsters, glimpses into alternate futures, and tales of fantasy mixed with how I feel my characters would really react if they were really placed in the odd settings and positions I decide to put them in.When I'm asked about my writing style, I like to say that I write for the "I'll wait for the movie" types.

WELCOME HOME ASSHOLE

Neon lights, high stakes poker, and What Happens Here, Stays Here
slogans are only one side of my hometown.
This is the side that I have had to leave in my past.
But now, after all these years, I've come home. I had thought about coming back sooner but I just didn’t.
As I make my way into my old hangout bar, Mr. D’s, I see several aged, but familiar faces.
Making my way to an open space at the bar, an unfamiliar bartender sets a napkin down in front of me and pauses.
Can I get a Southern Comfort and Coke?
She nods and winks.
