About this ebook
A wonderful story of a man and his daughter, who become separated in the deep woods of the Blackfoot reservation in Montana.
As they begin looking for each other, they drift even farther apart. The father falls off a cliff and passes out at the bottom of a hundred foot drop with a broken leg. The daughter, who is only six years old, is lost and wanders around, while looking for her father. She eventually comes across an old cabin and meets a very old man who lets her stay the night.
A dog discovers the man with his bad leg and goes for help without being asked. He brings back his master, a Blackfoot Indian who takes him back to the village and begins to help the man. Another band of Indians from the village go in search of the daughter.
The rest of the story tells of all the good that can come out of human nature, and gets rather exciting. At the end of the story, a grateful man becomes the benefactor of an entire Indian village. It is a touching story to most listeners.

I began my writing career in 1972, while in Thule, Greenland on assignment with Ford Aerospace. My first novel never made it into print because I considered it too bad to print. Hopefully, I improved along the way. Now I have more books that I did publish, and hope everyone likes. You can read 10 percent of any of my books on Smashwords.com and I invite you to peruse them. Thankfully, people who read the previews, usually buy the book. Hope that keeps up...Thanks everyone...

Chapter One - The Beginning
Angelic looked around for her father and didn't see him anywhere. They had been deep in the woods of northern Montana, up on the Blackfoot Indian reservation, looking for mushrooms and somehow they had drifted apart and now she was looking for him. The woods were semi-dark with lots of huckleberry bushes as well as other brush type plants too. It was easy to get out of someone else's sight in that area.
Dad,
she called out. There was no answer, just the quiet of the dimly lighted woods that did it's best to lock out the sun. She called again, Dad, where are you?
Still no answer came. She noticed that a breeze was picking up and rustling the leaves on the trees and bushes, and just barely bending some of the lighter boughs. It began to make her a little nervous as the wind continued to freshen.
For a six year old, Angelic was an intelligent, caring little girl, and had been well taught by her parents. When her mother died in a car accident, her father, Gordon, took great care of her and made her always feel loved. He continued her education in the ways of treating others as she would like to be treated, thus giving her a strong sense of values even at the tender age of six.
Angelic was normally a happy girl, except for the present moment. She was getting worried. Her thoughts were telling her that she wasn't in the best of positions right now; that her father was not with her and, of course, that was not good; she couldn't find him; again not good and she was getting hungry. They had been out quite a long time, and time passed quickly. They had been too busy to notice and now the wind was picking up to the point of blowing twigs and loose leaves off from the trees.
She continued wandering around, looking for her dad, calling for him with no results. It was starting to get on toward darkness and she had no jacket on. It was getting a bit chilly, and with the wind continuing to pick up, it made the chilliness more pronounced.
As the wind continued to rise, Angelic became frantic, and for a while, tried to hide from the wind behind a large rock. She soon found out that was not really protection from the wind, so began searching around for a better place. She wandered aimlessly in her search and was not watching very closely where she was going. She eventually came out of a brushy area, and saw a cliff. She also saw that part of the cliff had recently broken away. It scared her and she immediately backed away. She called for her dad again, but there was no answer. Where had he gone. She thought that he must be looking for her too. She stood back from the edge of the cliff, wondering what to do next. She finally began to wander elsewhere again.
The wind was blowing rather heavily and was bending the larger limbs on trees. Some of them brushed Angelic on the arms and face as she moved around the lower limbs of trees
