About this ebook
The Papagos, now called the Tohono O'odham, are among the least known of the Southwestern Indian tribes. They are one of the oldest traditional desert tribes with rich beliefs and customs. The contentment and inner peace of the Papagos, their gentle nature, their adherence to tradition, and their solitude go hand in hand with their peaceful desert.
These stories are my written snapshots of the life-changing experiences we shared working and living among the Papagos.
