I have been writing since I was a little girl, beginning with poems, short stories and now novels. I grew up in a family who loved paranormal movies. I watched my first vampire movie when I was four years old. I remember being fascinated by count Dracula’s fangs. From there I started watching other paranormal and changeling movies. From my earliest elementary years I would go to the library and search for books that were age appropriate containing vampires and werewolves. At the age of thirteen; I graduated to the wonderful world of teen reading. I was finally given permission to read my first historical romance. There upon, I became engrossed within Historical and Sci-Fi Fantasy novels. As an adult, I am venturing on to an even greater path, in which I am sharing my stories with you. When I sit in front of a computer, the words pour out of me as I become engrossed in the story unfolding on the screen. So engrossed that time seems to evade me. Writing is a part of who I am. Even in that, my life still took a different turn, I have spent part of my adult career as an educator, and working as a substitute in Elementary/High Schools to teaching College Undergraduate Math courses. Today, I find myself at that proverbial fork in the road. One path leads me to where my passion lies, where I can remove my mask allowing the world to see and share in my stories, opening up a whole new realm of possibilities. The other path although easier doesn’t allow me to shed my mask. My choice is not the easy way. I know the competition is harsh. But, with the continued support of my readers, I will strive to continue to transport you within the pages of my books, so that you may continue to experience firsthand the adventure, intrigue, mayhem and even lust contained in their pages.

    Tigress Unleashed

    Chapter One

    Chicago, Illinois

Looking up into the night sky from his penthouse balcony; Micah tilted his head back, closed his eyes, inhaling deeply as his senses heightened to the smell of the city as it came to life. His eyes glowing as he looked at the full moon. A perfect night to take flight. Already anticipating the hunt, he smiled as he turned, walking back inside the penthouse, deciding to take a quick shower first.

As he walked into his bedroom he stripped down nude tossing his clothes onto the chair in the corner of the room.

    Meanwhile: Toledo, Ohio

Kiara moans in her sleep as the man enters her dreams again… she watches as a voyeur would as he walks into an opulent bathroom, stepping into a large shower. The water rained down from the ceiling as jetted sprays surrounded the walls… His body was chiseled to perfection, she could practically feel his muscles constrict as he raised his arms to untie the band binding his pony tail, releasing his thick sandy blond hair as it cascaded down just below his waist. Micah squeezed liquid soap into his hands, rubbing it across his chest, down his washboard abs. His manhood jutted out thick and long. He balled one fist around the shaft, gripping it tightly as the other hand cupped his balls. Stunned at how embarrassed she suddenly felt she gasp awakening with a start. Looking over at her bedside clock, 5:40 am; Kiara begins to notice the smell of coffee wafting into her bedroom from the kitchen below.

    Chicago, Illinois

Micah froze. The hair on his arms tingling, turning he opened up his senses scanning for something… what, he wasn’t sure of… yet, the feeling was familiar. Hmmmm… lust, not his own but, female lust… reaching out further he tried to trace the psychic trail the female left. Grabbing a towel he wrapped it around his waist as he walked out of the shower. Using his telekinetic power he turned the water off, walking through his bedroom he entered the living room stepping out onto the expansive balcony seeking…. Seeking… he continued to walk around the balcony… ever vigilant, but to no avail. The female’s psychic trail had begun to fade. A scent of lavender lingering in its wake, as if to taunt him. The darkness folded in around him, stirring something inside… something familiar…a memory he couldn’t quite grasp. What the Fuck! Hunger hits him full and hard. His psychic shields weaken. Sirens, horns blowing, dogs barking, voices from the city below, people arguing, cries for help, prayers, lovers moaning in ecstasy, all bombarding him simultaneously. Stumbling backwards into the windows, he cradles his head in agony as he tries to push the voices at bay. His fangs burst forth. Aghhhh! Sliding along the glass, he partially falls through the open doors into the living area of the penthouse. He felt the dampness in the night air, as the impending rumbling of the thunder vibrated along his heightened senses. His need to feed, making the penthouses 3,000 square feet and 360 degree windows feel like a prison. He needed to rein in his gifts. Shut everyone and everything out… the lingering scent of lavender… Damn it! He needed to feed … and fuck… Inhaling deep breaths, blowing out slowly, Micah begins to concentrate, the voices begin to fade. As Micah brings himself under control he walks to the kitchen, pulls a bottle of Blaze out of the fridge. Popping the bottle cap with a flick of his thumb, he pours the synthetic blood into a large coffee mug. Places the mug into the microwave and presses 97.9 then temperature and the start button. Leaning naked against the counter, he realizes he lost the towel that was wrapped around his waist. Ding; reaching into the microwave for the mug, he downs the synthetic blood. His fangs retract. With his psychic shields back intact, he walks into the living room. Thunder cracks, large drops of rain hits the windows, lightening streaks across the sky. Well isn’t this just great! If the ringing in my head didn’t detour me from looking for some ass tonight then the weather sure as hell has. Chicago during the rainy season, what the fuck was Anna thinking when she scheduled this business trip! Micah spies his towel on the floor by the couch, picking it up he wraps it back around his waist, then reaches over for the brief case leaning against the side of the couch; places it on the coffee table, sits down, then touches a series of glyphs on the top face of the case. As, he touches each glyph they give off a blue light. The top of the case opens, showing a metal case within. The second case has one pad with a glowing blue light. Micah’s fangs erupt; he pricks his right thumb, and then places it on the pad. As he removes his thumb a series of glyphs begin to appear. Once the DNA is analyzed, the glyphs give off a glowing green light. The metal case opens. Micah reaches in and pulls out a file marked Cendant Inc., stamped Confidential. Cendant Inc., handles all the overseas shipments for the blood banks in which not only do they handle fresh blood from donors, they also contain one of the highest technologically advanced research and development labs in the U.S. where amongst their projects they hold military, and civilian contracts as well as develop a synthetic blood called Blaze. Flipping through the pages of the file, he began reading Anna’s notes. Checking the security measures, Daniel’s, head of security at Cendant was implementing to keep the shipment secure. Competitors for synthetic blood brands were on the rise, as of current Blaze was the best on the market, making it high on the black market list. Someone had already tried to highjack one of the shipments heading to Japan. Increasing security not only on the shipments but also on the scientist behind the scenes and the research labs themselves had become top priority. Excellent… Micah closes the file, places it back into the briefcase, securing both cases, then, stretches as he looks towards the windows. Hmmm, well, bed it is then. Resigning to the fact he wasn’t going to hunt in the rain he walks into the kitchen and refills his mug, brings it to the right temperature, then downs the second mug of Blaze before turning in for the night.

    Toledo, Ohio

Sitting up in her bed, Kiara was still thinking on the image of the man in the shower. It was always the same man, invading her thoughts and her dreams. But, this time something was different, she felt as if it wasn’t a dream, as if she was actually watching him. Closing her eyes, she breathed in deeply remembering the scent of the soap he rubbed over his body. Kiara is pulled out of her reverie as the insistent buzz of the alarm clock begins again. Hmmm... 6:00 am; I have to get up. She stretches as she inhales the wonderful aroma of coffee. The coffeemaker was prepped the night before with her favorite special Columbian Blend of gourmet coffee. It was automatically set to percolate at 5:30 am. By 5:40am, the fresh smell of coffee permeated the house, rising up to her bedroom, enticing her to begin a new day.

The master bedroom was Kiara’s favorite room. Striving to create an atmosphere of romance and a sense of tranquility, the bedroom was decorated predominately in sandcastle beige. In addition, it boasted a slightly textured, bright maroon accent wall, a finely crafted Oak bed rested against it. Positioning the bed against the accent wall, brought out the wood’s vibrancy, accentuating the handcrafted carvings on the headboard, as well as the footboard. Various sizes of goose-down pillows, covered in Egyptian Cotton, decorated the bed: One large rich maroon bolster pillow, accented with a thick vertical beige stripe and beige cording; two large boudoir pillows, comprised of various brown horizontal stripes, with maroon cording; One small maroon hand-crocheted pillow, made by Kiara’s mother; finally, the 1000 thread count sheets enhanced the room’s romantic ambiance. The opposite wall contained a matching oak wall unit displaying the television, and stereo equipment. On the adjacent wall, stands a matching dresser with a full-length mirror. Looking around the room, she picks up a discarded pillow by the window, tossing it onto the bed, as she thinks about her move to California. When I move to California, my dream house will have: A master suite with walk-in closets, a large bathroom, with a Roman soaking tub, and separate shower. I will definitely want a house with a view of the mountains. Smiling, Kiara walked out of the bedroom into the hallway.

Descending the stairs, Kiara loosened, and then shook her long chestnut hair. Her shimmering locks cascaded freely down her back, touching just below her shoulder blades. Quietly entering the kitchen to pour a fresh cup of coffee, she leaned her hip against the counter, gazing toward the morning sky through the kitchen window, sipping her coffee. Turning slightly to glance at the clock, realizing the sun would soon kiss the horizon; Kiara refilled her coffee cup, walked out of the kitchen, and then headed for the front porch. Kiara loved watching the sunrise. This was her time to enjoy her personal space, or quiet time as her son, Raif, would call it. Kiara smiled. Kiara’s five-year-old son, Raif, always brought a smile to her face.

As the sun rose, Kiara, captivated by its glow, walked onto the porch. Hmmmm…So beautiful, Kiara whispered, mesmerized by the red, orange and yellow hues. A slight breeze swept through the long, chestnut tresses of her hair, lifting it slightly off her shoulders. Holding her coffee cup with both hands, Kiara closed her eyes, inhaling the sweet, clean air, as she tilted her head back. The current of air flowed over her entire body, like a gentle caress. Feeling invigorated by the morning air, she turned, curled up onto the wicker chair, listening to the birds sing their morning song. Even as the tranquility of the morning enveloped her, a
