About this ebook
No one knows what cruel twist of fate caused Kumi Leben to be born with a rare medical condition that discolors her skin to an ash gray, branding her a freak of nature. With no prospects and a dim view on life, Kumi wanders the night streets as a prostitute until a strange man in a black suit approaches her with a proposition: to model nude for renowned painter Sebastian King. The revenues she would earn would be enough to get her off the streets for good.
Enter Sebastian King, a quiet recluse who hasn't been able to finish a painting in four years. He has nothing nice to say to anyone, especially Kumi. He complains she'd under-developed and 'too young looking,' earning her the nickname 'Lolita.' Kumi doesn't think much of Sebastian either, but as the two begin their strange partnership the walls around their wounded souls begin to crumble. Can two such damaged people come together? Or will they be destroyed by their own demons...
Stephanie Bacon
When Stephanie was little she and her sister would draw stick figures and create picture stories with which they delighted (and on one occasion terrified) their friends. Stephanie wrote her first novel when she was ten years old and never looked back. When she entered high school she started role-playing online with friends which led to the development of countless characters and stories. As the odd kid in school, she had a harder time socially and spent much of her time in the world of fantasy. She is also convinced she was born in the wrong time period and would be much more at home with pirates and masked balls. If anyone builds a time machine, please let her know. She can be found in a hole reading Sherlock Holmes novels or at your local pet store playing with puppies.
