To Dashing Dazza, the Frangapanni Thief ,,,

    Castle wall

Government Housing Walls, Aspestose, usually ugly, no colour, like the people who live in the worst ones, Drained of life and excitment.

I live in one of these sad little units. Lucky for me I have a sense of life and frivolity still kicking back in my head and heart to do something about the little unit to bring it back to life, but what?

Sitting in the back yard one day, I'm looking at these sad walls thinking, what can I do to make this back yard a lot easier to sit in and ponder life and all it's misteries? Then out of the blue an Idea, oh god here it comes, a Castle Wall, YES, thats exactly what it needs, GREAT IDEA, now what.

Ponder some more that day, got to get the idea straight in my little head before I start such a big project.

What colour to paint the Castle wall? Sand-stone would be nice, mmmm

Off down to the local hardware shop, 10litres of Sandstone and parting with $160, FOR PAINT ! OMG it's NOT Gold, it's only paint.

Back home, brushes and rollers aplenty, I survey the project.

I know what I need, off into the kitchen, I head straight for the fridge, grab a bottle of 'sweet white' and a cold glass, back out into the back yard, pull up a chair, pour myself a glass of wine and just as I'm about to take a sip a car pulls into the driveway, bugger.

The bird of luck must have been sitting on my shoulder, for who had just turned up? An ARTIST friend of mine, Linda. She comes through the gate and spots the paint and brushes straight away, What are you up to now Debs, she says, with big grin.

Hold on a tic and i'll let you know, i'll just grab another glass, want one I say as I'm dissapearing into the kitchen.Don't I always, she comes back with, I smile, she is my mate and I can read her like a book,
