Chapter 1

Anna loved her job at Regency Travel. She thoroughly enjoyed planning exotic honeymoons for newlyweds and sincerely wanted them to have an extraordinary experience. Even though she loved planning all the details for those happy couples, each trip she planned was tinged with a tiny bit of sadness and, possibly, a bit of jealousy, although Anna never begrudged any of her couples their happiness. Anna felt she would never be able to experience what those couples had: being whisked off to an exotic destination to start a new life together, being deeply in love, and having a wonderfully romantic experience. That made her sad.

Her latest, in a series of disappointing relationships, had fizzled out and left her with an empty feeling that was becoming all too familiar. It also left her determined, this time, not to start up with anyone else, until she’d had some time for herself.

It seemed the universe heard her. Anna’s boss had come to her one morning, with a proposition, and this was a proposition she actually liked.
