Are Not My People Worthy: the Story of Matthew 25: Ministries
()
About this ebook
In a world filled with terror, strife and hopelessness, we seek validation that it is possible to make a difference. Through prayer, faith and unremitting effort, Wendell Mettey proves that when ordinary people do extraordinary things, it is possible to change the world. “Are Not My People Worthy” chronicles the growth of Matthew 25: Ministries from a small suitcase ministry to an international humanitarian relief organization shipping aid to the poorest of the poor worldwide.
The story of Matthew 25: Ministries is the story of one man’s unquenchable vision and faith and the many individuals and groups who contributed their time, energy and donations to enable that vision to become a reality. The 128 page story told in 23 simple, compelling chapters, takes the reader on an amazing journey through eight warehouses and the distribution of twenty seven million pounds of materials shipped to the poorest of the poor throughout the world. Readers will be mesmerized by this everyday hero’s journey of faith and determination – a journey that demonstrates how ordinary people doing extraordinary things can indeed “change the world”.
“We all owe considerable gratitude for the work of Wendell Mettey and Matthew 25: Ministries. I have seen firsthand the good works of Matthew 25: from their early days in Cincinnati to their programs in Nicaragua and throughout the world. They care. They are dedicated. And they make our world a more hopeful place for thousands worldwide.” The Honorable Mike DeWine U.S. Senator, Ohio
“Wendell Mettey is one of the most wonderful human beings I’ve ever met. Cintas has partnered
with Matthew 25: Ministries for years, but it wasn’t until now that I learned its full history. I hope this book allows Matthew 25 to capture other corporations’ hearts the way it captured ours. This story demonstrates how we can support something important, compassionate and powerful – and change lives around the world.” Scott Farmer President & CEO, Cintas Corporation
