Short Story-
Physicist Daniel Bradford needs to meet the environmental demands of the Swiss President to continue operations at the Large Hadron Collider beneath the border between Switzerland and France. The president visits the site during a test when a power outage causes a major malfunction. If the problem is not reversed, the entire planet could be ripped apart particle by particle.

Physicist Daniel Bradford scowled as a solution to an equation evaded his persistence. His disheveled graying hair resulted from emersion in his work and inattention to his appearance. Swiss flags displayed in preparation for tomorrows National Day celebration, partially covered the shelves of books lining the walls of his study. Between each red flag with white cross hung a red and yellow flag with a black eagle holding a yellow key signifying their location in the city of Geneva. The musty smell of the books gave the room an atmosphere of aristocracy.
Chief of Operations Franklin Suarez entered the room. His slick dark hair and impeccable black suit a direct contrast to Dr. Bradford. The Magna-rail will transport us out to the facility after your ten o’clock meeting, doctor.
Bradford did not look up. Thank you Franklin. What time will they bring the collider up to full power?
The experiment is scheduled for two. That gives you almost four hours.
The doctor stood from behind his massive oak desk, straightened his vivid blue tie, and put on a slightly wrinkled tweed sport coat. He made a halfhearted effort to tame his wavy hair with the palms of his hands. "Plenty
