Her phone beeped to announce a new message just as she noticed the video camera mounted on the ceiling at the corner of the booth. A small red light burned at the camera’s base, and Melody knew she was being watched.

Melody felt something inside of her unclench in relief at the knowledge that her Master was nearby, watching and watching over her. Seeing him in the flesh would have been better, but at least she knew that he was in control, and that everything that happened would be part of his plan for her.
