About this ebook

Night Sighs is a sensual paranormal romance, following the relationship and adventures of the vampire Tristan and his lover Alex through five short stories: The Dead Beats, The Ancients, Until My Body Is Dust, Bourbon & Jazz and West of Forever.

Meet Alex & Tristan, modern star-crossed lovers of the supernatural variety.
Alex is running-on-empty one year on from the death of her fiancé, and the only thing that keeps her going is her romance with the young vampire Tristan. Tristan meanwhile has a serious obsession with Bruce Springsteen and is battling a can’t-live-without-you sort of love for Alex. He’s trying to persuade her to come over to the dark side but so far she’s resisting his efforts.
So come and sing along to Tristan’s band, The Dead Beats, the hottest group in London right now and walk with Alex as she teeters between this life and the next.
Because when you’re around Tristan, you’ll see how much fun it is to be alive when you’re dead....

I love reading and writing supernatural fiction. On a rainy day there is nothing better than curling up on the couch with a hot cup of tea and watching a marathon of my favourite tv shows (Buffy, Roswell, Dark Angel, True Blood, The Big Bang Theory, Friends...to name a few)

Dawn rose, blazing hot. Standing by the attic window her skin looked pink and luminous. Heat and light were promised on her lips as the last shadows fell, leaving her naked and in full control. The London street outside was still quiet, its squalid alleyways no longer hidden under night’s friendly mask. Daylight was not everyone’s friend.

Come away from the window, Alex, his husky voice murmured somewhere behind her.

Alex turned and felt her long black locks lift and resettle on her bare shoulders. The curls fell to the tips of her nipples, and she reached to hold the silver locket between her breasts.

She knew his eyes were all over her, devouring her again, but this time from afar. Her tanned fingers released the necklace that was never away from her heart, not since she had lost her fiancé a year before.

Her evening friend waited for her with gentlemanly patience, though there was nothing chivalrous about his gaze. His eyes glazed over. Long, dark eyelashes acted as a hood, keeping her from reading him entirely. She had no need to look at him to feel what he was giving off. His own heady scent was everywhere, especially on her.

I like to see the sunrise, Tristan, she said. You know that.

Alex drifted towards him, back into the darker corners of their haven. She stood for a moment above him. He lay stretched out luxuriously on the old, red blanket, long legs crossed at the ankles, head resting against one of his hands enjoying the sight of her.

Come here, he commanded, eyelashes lifting so he could meet her eyes.

Alex’s were a deep brown, just like his.

No, she said, and moved as if to return to her window.

In a quick swoop, Tristan grabbed her around the waist, pulling her down onto his lap. Alex gasped as he held her arms, forcing her to face him. Strands of his longish dark hair fell across his cheek. She pushed them aside to stare at every inch of his perfect face.

Tristan smiled as she surveyed his pale beauty: thick eyebrows, high cheekbones and a dimple in his chin. One eyebrow and both ears bore piercings, giving him a wild rock star look. He was utterly gorgeous and equally aware of it. That beauty ensured a long queue of swooning women eager to attend to all his needs.

Alex had made him work a little harder. She smiled and was rewarded with a flash of brilliant teeth. You’re beautiful, she told him.

He shrugged. We all are. There was nothing arrogant in his statement. He was merely stating a fact.

Yes. I’ve never met one of you who wasn’t . . . physically appealing. Alex parted her lips as he swept a dark tangle of her hair off her breast. She placed her hand over his, covering her heart. Were you the same before?

Tristan squeezed her hand and sat up, moving her around so that her legs entwined around his waist. I wasn’t bad, but not this way, no. The change takes care of any deficiencies. But you on the other hand— And he lowered his head to take a nipple in his mouth.

Alex stayed absolutely still, forcing herself not to react. Her hardening flesh betrayed her. Tristan looked up, a satisfied smirk playing across his face.

Beautiful as you are, he finished finally, placing his cold hands on her buttocks, pushing her towards him.

Then I don’t have to change, Alex said, arching her back. The locket bounced against her warm skin. She knew Tristan didn’t like her wearing it, but Alex would not give him this in case he believe her conquered, his once and for all.
