She turned, slowly slipping closer to his bare chest, feeling the air heave beneath the wrinkled sheets. His chiseled lines broke the smooth roll of the cover, the edge speckled with the soft coating of follicles that tickled her roaming fingers.

She glanced to his face, tanned and firm, strength evaporating from each pore. Calmness pressing through the flair of his nostrils. She laid back into the fold of his shoulder feeling the security of his arm as it wrapped up and about her back. Two soft, gentle fingers weaving up her spine. She shuddered.

Problem? he said pressing the air through her golden hair, feeling it drift back to his check.

No--oh, no! Not a chance... She raised her head to steal a glance at his still sealed eyelids. Couldn't be better. I was just checking to see if you were asleep.

He lifted his free arm out beyond the edge of the bed, straightening the curled muscles that had been worked hard but not stretched in a timely manner. Why did I miss something?

I don't think so. You've been here as long as I have. You've been just as patient as me. Right?!

What was your name again? He grinned mischievously.

She ripped the pillow from beneath his head, and knocked the humor out of his head with one blow to the nose.
