A Curse On All Their Houses, How Religious Scripture and Practices Support Intolerance, Violence and Even War
()
About this ebook
. This book is about the consequences of religion more than whether Christ rose from the dead (Krishna, Mithras, Osiris, Attis of Phrygia, Dionysus, all of whom besides being born on December 25th from a virgin mother, died and were resurrected, except for Mithras - who ascended directly without dying!) or whether the text of the verses of the Qur’an correspond exactly to those revealed to Muhammad directly as the words of God, delivered to Muhammad through the angel Gabriel. It is more focused on how religious scriptures and writings have been misused to harm, torture or kill others who don’t believe, or used for justification to do what most rational persons would consider evil. Christopher Hitchens puts it not so “mildly” as he claims he does when he says “Religion poisons everything”, and “Religion Kills” [2]
There was a 30 year war (1618-1648) over religion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thirty_Years’_War
Samuel Butler
Samuel Butler (1835–1902) was an English author whose turbulent upbringing would inspire one of his greatest works, The Way of All Flesh. Butler grew up in a volatile home with an overbearing father who was both mentally and physically abusive. He was eventually sent to boarding school and then St. John's College where he studied Classics. As a young adult, he lived in a parish and aspired to become a clergyman but had a sudden crisis of faith. He decided to travel the world and create new experiences fueling his literary career.

A CURSE ON ALL THEIR HOUSES
How religious SCRIPTURE, practices and writings support cruelty, violence, hate, murder and questionable moral practices, even sexual abuse against children. Many have even gone headfast to the extreme of war and genocide in the name of their preferred religion. How in their origins myths were copied and forgery was performed.
Book Cover by Oscar Sierra. The symbols are of four major religions-Christianity with the cross, Islam with the star and crescent, Judaism with the six pointed Star of David, and the symbol of Mormonism, the angel Moroni blowing the trumpet. The angel Moroni is also a symbol of Masonry. Joseph Smith, Jr. and his brother Hyrum Smith were both Master Masons.

PREFACE
You may feel very uncomfortable with the information this book presents. All I ask is that you keep an open mind as a seeker of truth and open to a change to some of your beliefs if you feel it is proper for you to do so. Christopher Hitchens puts it not so mildly
as he claims he does when he says Religion poisons everything
, and Religion Kills
[2]
There was a 30 year war (1618-1648) over religion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thirty_Years’_War
There are wars or conflicts between those who believe in their founder of their religion, but believe differently. In the Middle East, The Sunni’s and the Shia’s both treasure their belief in Muhammad, but they often bomb each other, because the other follows a different descendant of Muhammad, or some other different way of belief. The Inquisition (1231?1485? to 1835) was about different ways to believe in Jesus Christ and/or different interpretations of the Old or New Testament.
Religion is riddled with intolerance, hate, gender imbalance and therefore I say, it is OK to be a skeptic about religion, and in a balanced way say A POX ON ALL THEIR HOUSES.
A pox is a plague, indicating in general that all religions should be looked upon with a skeptical attitude, and especially forget about just going on faith
to believe the seemingly unbelievable.
If you find these revelations shocking and/or revealing, don’t be like some who say If my beliefs are opposed to the facts, so much for the facts.
