- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Frank keeps churning out books from the Low Country and I keep enjoying them.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5quite good. Mother Miss Lavinia IS VERY eccentric. Daugh. Caroline returns home to see if her brother is trying to sll off the estate and get money. Sickness, voodoo by Millie, cute available men, in the wonderful south carolina plantation.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5My own mother was in poor health when I read this, so it was even more meaningful to read this book. I cried in parts and laughed in others. This will be a memorable book for me.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Not unlike her other stories, Plantation pulls you into the heart and soul of this old southern family. You begin to understand the importance and healing powers of "home". It is a enjoyable, easy read that leaves you with warm feelings for the main characters and the hope that they continue to do well after our part of the story is over.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I liked it better than Sullivan's Island because I felt the story progressed a bit better. I am finding an unlikely amount of love interests in her stories. It seems that every man these women meet just about fall in love with them and no one ever really seems angry when the romance fizzles. And they are always so friendly with each other. No hurt feelings or jealousy. Seems a bit unrealistic to me, but it was a cute, feel good story none-the-less.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was a good book, but not as good as the sequel, Lowcountry Summer. It went on too long, and some of the emotion was over the top. Plus, I wonder what happened to Doctor Jack.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Plantation is a very well done book. It is an easy read yet pulls at your heart along the way. Get the Kleenex out for the end.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I enjoyed her writing and the storyline. It was romantic, mystical, sad, and funny at different times
