- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I was thrilled to find this book with it's explanations of what Kabbalah is and how it can direct me, or anyone, to understanding the world and the role of humanity in realizing man's destination. The introduction and key concepts sections alone are invaluable to understanding Kabbbah, and how the study of Kabbalah will lead to interpreting surroundings and sensations in an entirely new way. I was excited by Kabbalah's approach to defining matter and form, the descriptions of man's discontent and spiritual hunger amidst enormous material abundance. People have more opportunities to engage every desire than ever before in history. Yet are dissatisfied, realizing that every cell in our bodies have a function, but what does the entire body exist for? Basic Concepts of Kabbalah presents the way to study Kabbalah and offers answers to questions such as: Who am I, Why do I exist, Where did I come from and where am I going? These and more can all be answered by the study of Kabbalah. Included in the text are portions from the Afterword to the Zohar, Preface to the Zohar and Introduction to the Study of the Ten Sefirot. These ancient texts show the structure of the worlds, how they extend down to our world and the path of our world as it returns up the ladder to our beginning. I found an amazing amount of information about Kabbalah, what it is, how to use it and the benefit to be derived from it in this small book. A very good book to start with or for the student of Kabbalah.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Although on the surface the title might imply that this is a book only for beginners, I would disagree. It is certainly very appropriate for beginners as it serves to introduce us to the basic concepts in Kabbalah as stated. However, by reading this book over and over it will do more than just that. This book is all about contemplating spiritual terms and thereby expanding our inner vision…our consciousness. There is a spiritual structure that is ever present around us and it is up to our efforts to learn how to see, feel and experience these hidden worlds. Kabbalah is all about attracting the Light that corrects and this book attracts much Light.
