- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Billey Bradley and her best friends have fulfilled their dream of attending Three-Towers Hall, thanks to Billie's inheritance from first book. Sadly, the obnoxious Amanda Peabody and her not-quite-as-obnoxious friend, Eliza, are also there. The school is as wonderful as they'd hoped it would be, aside from two of the teachers. The sisters Dill are about as warm and kind as Miss Minchin in A Little Princess. It makes me think less of the headmistress, Miss Walters, that she gave them as much responsibility as she did. Billie, of course, manages to make one Miss Dill dislike her for a trivial reason. The fourth enemy Billie has at school is a very pretty and popular girl who fears that Billie will outshine her. Throw in a secret society, a train wreck, and a robber with the rebellion and you've got a decent read.
