The 'Edina' edition of 'The Poetical Works of Robert Browning,' published by Messrs. W. P. Nimmo, Hay, & Mitchell, Edinburgh (3s. 6d.), may lay claim to be the most complete non-copyright edition of the poet which has yet solicited the attention of the public. It is a well-bound and printed volume of over seven hundred pages in double column, and is provided with a brief, but pregnant, introduction by the Rev. Edward Frederick Hoernlé, Leith. Included in it is a short poem, 'Ben Karshook's Wisdom,' strikingly Browningesque in thought and form, which does not appear in any previous collection.
