- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Unbelievable, there's no waning for this series whatsoever it seems, and that makes me happy. It just keeps getting better. Finally Jag's story, of all the Feral Warrior's Jag seems the most tortured soul, at least obviously so (I'm almost positive I will be taking that back soon).
It became obvious early on that Jag is suffering from a tremendous amount of guilt. He enjoys goading everyone to fight of argue with him, he seems to prefer it when his fellow warriors hates him. In Rapture Untamed we learn what drives Jag to such destructive ways, why he keeps pushing other's away and not trying to form a more personal bond with his warrior brothers. He meets Olivia, a Therian Guard Lyon brought in to work along side the Ferals, to deal with their insurmountable Mage problems. Right away Olivia proves to be a fiery match for Jag's lewd comments. Olivia had her own demons to battle, she carried a secret that could mean her banishment from the Therians, if not her death. When Jag finds out her secret, she has to succumb to his will and need to punish himself and make others hate him. Has Olivia tries to break through Jag's barriers to make him deal with his issues the two broken people struggle their way through a very tumultuous, kinda violent relationship. There were a few very physical fights, with blood and broken nose to boot, but of course that wasn't the only physicality between them. Olivia was a strong female and a perfect match for Jag and Jag has a surprisingly tender side.
As usual a lot of action and death and lets not forget, lots of sex. The Ferals are still dealing the Mage's and their continued attempts to raise Satanan. This was the first book to end with such a cliffhanger, except for the first one with Vhyper being turned. Different feelings then since I wasn't attached to him and didn't get to see the good side of him to like him. Man, I did not expect to be loving this series as much as I do, it's unbelievable. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Rapture Untamed

Synopsis:
The most antagonistic and anti-social of the feral warriors, Jag must partner with the beautiful and enigmatic Olivia, a member of the Therian Guard. However, Olivia is no ordinary immortal and possesses forbidden powers that must be kept hidden from her race. Will Jag discover her secret and what will he do with his dangerous knowledge?
Review:
Once again, the plot is engrossing and the intricacy of the Feral Warriors’ world just gets better and better.
The characterization is both the high and the low point of the book. In terms of the latter, Jag is vulgar and obnoxious, and his behavior toward Olivia is morally questionable. The revelations of his tortured past explain many of his offensive actions and he does eventually redeem himself. Nevertheless, it is difficult to sympathize with or even like his character.
In contrast, Olivia is amazing. She is courageous and spirited, and kicks Jag's butt on numerous occasions. He has definitely met his match in her. The unique curse with which she is afflicted and its contribution to the plot is actually what kept me reading. Not that the romance is lacking, in fact, despite his faults, Jag and Olivia’s relationship is captivating, especially once he comes to terms with who he is and realizes what he has to lose.
In sum, the book is well written and has some excellent twists and turns as well as a significant cliffhanger at the end. I highly recommend that the series be read in order so as not to miss out on any of the important details. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5
This was the story I'd been waiting for since the beginning of the series! Jag, the most tormented and "abrasive" of all the Feral Warriors finally gets to tell his story. Not only was I curious why he was the way he was, but I wondered what type of woman the author would come up with, to help Jag become the man that most of the women knew was lurking under his bad attitude. I wasn't disappointed.
Olivia of the Therian Guard has been keeping a dangerous secret all her life. Her special skill would be a powerful weapon against the Daemon threat that has resurfaced, but it's a forbidden skill, one punishable by death, if anyone were to ever find out, especially the Feral Warriors. Her first encounter with Jag didn't leave her with a good first impression, but rather something else. For some reason, the rude Feral has gotten under her skin. Unfortunately for her, he's also the only one who has ever been able to sense her skill, though he doesn't know what it is. When he finally discovers her secret, he uses it to his advantage to get her where he wants her.
Jag has pushed everyone away with his bad attitude. When the stunning little warrior Olivia shows up, he sees her as nothing more than a pretty challenge. Then he finds out that she's been harboring a secret, one that could make her an outcast among the Therians and a potential threat to the Feral Warriors. He allows his (sexual) interest to cloud his better judgement and practically blackmails her into submitting to him. What he thought was supposed to be a one time deal to satisfy his curiosity and slake his lust turns into more when he gets glimpses of the woman beneath the tough warrior exterior. Things get more uncomfortable when he realizes that they have a few things in common when it comes to guilt ridden pasts.
While the romance flares, the danger continues to grow. When the Mages figure out what she can do, they plan to capture her to further their evil plans. Will Jag be able to kill her should she be turned?
I love the different female characters the author is able to conjure up. So far all the women, except for Delaney, start out as fragile beings, but once they find love, their confidence in their abilities grow turning them into important team players. I really liked Olivia, since I have a weakness for kick-a** heroines. She managed to see through Jag's behavior very quickly which kept the story going at a normal pace; not holding it back with a tediously slow back and forth between the two. When they come together, it's often a battle of wills and seeing who will submit first. They were fire and passion, with a little bit of (physical) fighting. But it suited their personalities and their nature, so I wasn't put off by the way they came together. Seeing Jag discover love and friendship was a sweet thing.
We get glimpses of the atrocities the Daemons and Mages are capable of, and the author doesn't sugarcoat the carnage they leave behind, so brace yourselves for some descriptive blood and gore. There's even a surprising reveal about Kougar.
I'm so glad I discovered this exciting series, and it definitely belongs with the rest of my favorite series collections. - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Warning: contains "Scottish" brogue and coerced sex by the hero.It starts off by jabbing pointy objects into my ears... oh, sorry, that should be... it starts off in Romancelandia Scottish dialect. Fortunately, after the prologue that pretense is dropped. The world-building is just as confusing as in previous books in the series (it's all blah blah cheesy blah to me), so I don't think it really matters whether you've read anything else in the series yet or not.The story: also cheesy. I think I would have enjoyed it more, though, if Jag hadn't been such a total douchecanoe. Also, if you don't like rape/sexual blackmail fantasies, Jag and Olivia's relationship might be hard for you to stomach
