About this ebook
For the better part of a decade, Coco Stevens balances life on the edge of a deadly and enticing razor. Faced with the ultimate betrayal by her Mafia boss boyfriend Sam Spielman, Coco finally reaches for redemption in the barren deserts of Nevada. Hanging in the balance is a modern day fortune that rivals the worth of King Solomon’s Mines. In a riveting conclusion with a surprising twist, perhaps the wages of sin can be spent more wisely than even they would have believed possible.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5First, I won this book from a Goodreads First Reads give-a-way. It was really hard for me to get into this book because of how unbelievable it seemed. I think Meronek writes exceptionally well, the plot would have been much better if I had believed it could happen.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I won a copy of this book on a giveaway. A Rags to Riches romance story. Coco Stevens is an unhappy seventeen year old. She runs away and gets a job as a Dancer at Dante's Gentle mans Club . Coco thinks she is doing all right, until a sting operation temporarily closes the club. She loses her job and is forced to return home and start over again. Soon her Ex Boss Sam shows up in a Limo he would like to see her. An amazing adventure. Coco will suffer betrayal, loneliness and plot to get revenge against the love of her life.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I tried and tried and tried to get into this book but Coco is just too unbelievable. The whole thing is just too cheezy and not right. She's beautiful, a straight A student, and she drops out of high school to become an underaged stripper??? That's just in the beginning. Later she majors in real estate and geology?? Really?? Last I checked Real Estate wasn't exactly a 4-year degree. Anyway, she is obviously the result of some male writer's fantasy and not at all real, and being a female reader I just couldn't push past this.
And yes there were typos. And yes I got my copy for free as part of a Good Reads First Reads giveaway. It was nice that the author autographed the book and I really wanted to like this but I just can't give it any more time. I'm giving up. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Stay Another NightBy: P.S. MeronekPublisher: Ponytale Press Pages. 411Reviewed by: tkCopy Courtesy of: Goodreads Members GiveawayThrilling mystery with a rags to riches romance. Guaranteed to keep you up all night.Seventeen year old Coco Stevens is not at all happy. She runs away to an unforeseen future. Starting out as dancer at "Dante's Gentlemans Club" Coco thinks she's doing all right for herself. Unfortunate, a sting operation closes the club temporarily, and Coco loses her job. She has no other choice, but to return home, and start life over again.A new beginning for Coco is soon to arrive in a limo. Her ex-boss Sam, would like to see her. An amazing adventure is starting. Coco will become rich, secure, confident and travel the world. She will also suffer loneliness, betrayal, and plot her revenge against the love of her life.An absolute fascinating story. It takes you from the heartfelt despair to wanting to be Coco Stevens. It will take you through a full array of emotions...love and hating the characters in turn. You will have no other choice than to keep turning the pages to find where the story will go next. Highly recommended 5/5
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Coco is an under aged stripper who has charmed her boss, Jack, into allowing her to continue to work in the club. She meets the owner of the club, Sam, during a raid that costs her the job and Sam over $200,000. Sam is a member of the mob and everything that goes along with the connection. Coco is returned to her home and goes back to school, finishing with straight A's. Once she is "legal" Sam makes his presence known and the two begin dating. The characters are well developed, the story line is strong and certainly has enough action to keep the reader interested and anxious to see what will happen next. There is a strong love between the characters. Coco loves Sam enough to move in and out of his life as needed. The don't cling together as most couples would, they are more like lovers. She doesn't stand still, she goes on to college and then a career while growing personally. I found the book very interesting especially toward the end where everything is pulled together for an amazing ending.**Good Reads Win
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5An interesting if somewhat meandering story that follows a young woman through excitement and anguish, love and hurt. My only complaint is there could have been a better notice of when it is present day and when it is the past.Free review copy.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5An interesting, intriguing story with several threads and twists! I was pleasantly surprised to see a believable, strong, successful, beautiful heroine portrayed by a male author.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I read right through Stay Another Night in one day. The storyline was interesting and there was a good plot twist at the end. I look forward to reading more from this author.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is my second P S Meronek work that I have read in the last year. I loved "The Joshua Effect" and I loved this one too. Yes, the girl is young and the guy is mob-connected. Yes, the locales are exotic and enticing. It's a tortured love story and it's worth your time. My thanks to the author and Goodreads for a complimentary copy of the book.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I won this through a giveaway.
I have to say this wasn't my kind of book, I got it because it said it would be a mystery and a thriller, which it is not. Others on here have listed what they didn't like about it, so I won't go into it. I gave it a three stars because it may not be my type of book, it doesn't mean others won't enjoy it, but it's just not my type of genre. I don't like books that are mostly romance so I just couldn't like this book. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This is the story of Coco Stevens and Sam Spielman. Coco is a stripper in the Gentlemen’s Club owned by Sam (who is a Don in the Mafia) and they embark on a love affair that changes their lives. Coco soon becomes famous as a model then actress. But Sam has a secret and it has to do with Coco’s past; something she is unaware of. As the story evolves Coco grows from a young teenage stripper, to world famous model to one who tries to beat her lover in his game. Coco is a strong woman and I appreciate that but I still didn’t relate to her and she didn’t seem believable. The secret that is the motivation of the story plays out in the last few pages and was a big letdown. Although, well written, the story had interesting segments but then it suffered with a substandard finale.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I received a print copy of this book as a giveaway on GoodReads.com in return for my honest opinion for the book. From the inviting title I entered the giveaway to win one of the 100 copies being offered. When I received my copy I didn’t really care its relatively small pocket trim size, as compared to the trim sizes I usually receive. The trim size made it somewhat less comfortable to read. The premise for the storyline is also something which caught my eye; a young runaway, underage girl, Coco gets a job in a strip club run by a Mafia-type Don, she then gets a job as a model followed by that of an actress. Coco seems to be too prefect at times, probably due to the male POV the book seems to have been written in. While the storyline takes a few twists and the foreign locations are quite vivid in their descriptions, the book as a whole didn’t really do anything to arouse my interest in the book.I find it interesting the book, in its paperback format or the hardcover edition, are apparently no longer available. I also found it interesting the copy of the book I’d received had been printed in India. In the end, the best I can give this book is only 3 STARS.
