About this ebook
Many centuries ago the celesphere called Earth was a much different place. Those that inhabit the Skies were at war with an enemy who had once been a friend. The spirit, Severn, once known to reside in the barren Moons has been relieved of his astral duties. His inability to produce life within his soil has filled him with a terrible rage. Roaming the galaxy as a lost and envious soul, he has devised the perfect revenge. Each spell, he is ever-watchful of the fertile planet, learning, discovering, witnessing the symbiotic affairs of the territorial creatures and the elements. His plan? Infiltrate the Earthen terrijeuns the Everwinds created to inhabit this celesphere, then Earth herself. Severn has created a false world inhabited by Mystical creatures, coerced, trained, and set aside for an attack. But the Mystics are only one of the tools he will use to accomplish this. Severn desires to use the terrijeuns themselves. The youngling, Crìsdean, has an unearthly discernment of both the spiritual and the elemental, and may be a threat to his plans. Unless Severn can break him.
Troubled by the memory of his mother's unexpected passing, Crìsdean feels his father is keeping a horrible secret. No one has mentioned the Lands of Ice, or why he yearns for a faraway place. Facing an emotional standstill, the joy he once possessed has been replaced with fear. Daily visions and nightly terrors have brought confusion and despair. His mother had spoken candidly about his ability to "see," and about Life, but her wisdom is no longer there to guide him. Crìsdean is struggling to trust his senses, or this feeling of impending danger. His moods are getting worse, patience is wearing thin. At times he wishes he were invisible, a simple wight that people pass unawares. But this critical mission was created for him alone. Can he break away from despair and regain his strength in time? Or will he allow Severn to manipulate him into destroying himself, and his own people in the process?
