About this ebook
On the Run, one of many classic novels from crime writer John D. MacDonald, the beloved author of Cape Fear and the Travis McGee series, is now available as an eBook.
Sid Shanley doesn’t stay in one place very long. He has to keep moving, changing towns, jobs, and women at a moment’s notice. He thinks he’s worked out the perfect setup—no attachments, no trails, no explanations. But now a girl has caught up with him. Her name is Paula, and if he accepts her strange proposition, there’s a million-dollar payoff. But first Sid needs answers. Who the hell does this Paula think she is? And why should Sid give up his life, forget his past, and believe her when she promises the impossible?
Features a new Introduction by Dean Koontz

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Another intense thrill ride! All the main characters are new and the story line is fresh. One thing I really like about her are the re-occurring characters from book to book. Another thing she does is put remarkable child in these books, who later grow up to be main characters in later books...She makes you fall in love with her characters and then makes you beg for more!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5For eight years, single mother Grace Archer has been living a picture-perfect life raising her daughter on a horse farm in the small town of Tallanville, Alabama. Watching Frankie grow into a talented and confident young girl has made Grace as happy as any mother could hope to be. Happy enough, even, to forget the past. But the past never quite goes away. Which is why a certain charismatic man also moved to Tallanville eight years ago to watch over her.But when violence threatens to shatter Grace and Frankie's idyllic home, the waiting is over. The ghosts of the past have returned. And they're hungry for blood. Now Grace must resume an identity she thought she had cast off forever, and match wits with an opponent as deadly as he is cunning. The prize: an extraordinary secret that only she can unfold. The forfeit: losing the thing more precious to her than life itself.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Riveting suspenseful, keeping you wanting to see what happens next. True to all her books, a strong female character with a villainess' foe. Excellent read.
