Cowboy Small by Lois LenskiDaily life of a cowboy. Love the terms used and explained and what the jobs entail as the cowboy does them.I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

Cowboy Small is a great book just like the rest of the series that Lois Lenski wrote. Cowboy Small lives the life of a cowboy. He enjoys his time being a cowboy. Children who lives on a farm or wants to become a cowboy or cowgirl would enjoy this book.

Cowboy small is a great easy read about little boy who lives the life of a real cowboy fixing fences and rounding up the cattle. Cowboy small is a book of little words and great pictures but get to the point.I love this book and although it is a book for a young crowd the pictures are amazingI would use this book in an art class to demonstrate to the children that a good book doesn’t mean a lot of words that pictures can do the job just as well. I would ask the children to create there own picture book using as little words as possible and to let the pictures tell the story.

Lois Lenski stories are priceless and Cowboy Small doesn't disappoint it's audience at all. This is a great early reader book for any child. Before the story begins, Lenski included in this work, a brief cowboy glossary so the cowboy jargon doesn't take away from the story itself. Cowboy Small is an old-fashioned cowboy. He fixes fences, rounds up cattle, brands animals and rides in a rodeo ring. This book might be stereotyping cowboys of the wild west a little bit, but it is cute and to a point fairly factual. Cowboy Small gives some insight into a life style that has almost been extinguished in modern America.

Great book about a day-in-the-life... as a kid, I wanted to taste the beans they cooked over the campfire.
