About this ebook

Since childhood, Rosie's life has been the stage—passing herself off as a boy playing women's roles in the somewhat disreputable theatrical troupe of actor Danny Plympton, Rosie's adoptive father. But when unanticipated danger confronts them, they must flee London, taking refuge at the estate of Sir Anthony Rycliffe. A readable if overly complicated storyline. a tad bland though. A lot of loose threads got tucked in messily in a bit of a rush near the end. But what really bugged me, small thing though it may be is the language used. Man-root, I mean really, I don't think I've ever heard a more ridiculous euphemism and while it was cute coming from the naive virgin, coming from the roguish hero it was just stupid. overall I was really just not impressed with this book. I had much higher hopes when I started it.
