The plot was a soap opera but the characters were well done and their growth together was well written. I normally don't like this much drama or the plot device of mistaken identity but this was well done and had none of the juvenile drama that often occurs when the mistaken identity is uncovered was absent from this book. Thomas and Maggie were likable characters. An enjoyable read.
