About this ebook

“Caskie’s wit sparkles like a crown jewel.”
New York Times bestselling author Christina Dodd

Bestselling author Kathryn Caskie tempts historical readers once more with the Seven Deadly Sins—the deliciously licentious Sinclair family of unforgettable rogues and rapscallions—in The Duke’s Night of Sin. This latest family chronicle of passionate misadventures pits Lady Siusan Sinclair against the one man who holds in one hand the power to ruin her…and in the other, the key to her heart. If you adore the amorous exploits of Stephanie Laurens’s sinful Cynsters and Julia Quinn’s delightful Bridgerton clan—or have a passion for the romantic fiction of Lisa Kleypas and Victoria Alexander—The Duke’s Night of Sin is a night you will long remember!

Kathryn Caskie

Kathryn Caskie has long been a devotee of history and things of old, so it came as no surprise to her family when she took a career detour off the online superhighway and began writing historical romances full time. With a background in marketing, advertising, and journalism, she has written professionally for television, radio, the internet, magazines, and newspapers in and around metropolitan Washington, DC. How to Engage an Earl is her sixth novel. Kathryn lives in a 200-year-old Quaker home nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains with her greatest sources of inspiration, her husband and two young daughters.

The third in the Seven Deadly Sins series. I wanted to like this book. Over all it is decently written and the characters are interesting. However, the series of coincidences is so unlikely that it is hard to totally enjoy the book. I am willing to suspend disbelief for a good story, but even I can take so much. Only for fans of the series.

A big mess of a book that had every plot device thrown in. The first chapter was amazing but much of that development was let go and not resolved. I wanted to know more about Suisan's former fiance but after the first chapter he's not mentioned until the last. The hero and heroine still had significant mistaken identity issues until the very end of the book. At that point, most of their conflict should have been resolved. Way too much going on and I ended up not really caring.

Overly labored dialog mar what sounded like an intriguing plot. And at the half way point, the relationship between the heroine and hero still hasn't developed. I got fed up and quit.
