- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A wonderful, nurturing read, I much appreciated the occasional dialogue with the author's students. I took my time to finish it, sometimes savoring a single paragraph or page. I recommend it with enthusiasm.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Joku shows clearly that enlightenment truly is nothing special. It is the sound of the traffic on the busy street.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Once again, Joko challenged me to think about aspects of my life that I would rather not focus on, and I can do nothing but thank her for it. Nothing Special has a lot of the same themes as Everyday Zen, but I liked the organization of this one better. It's arranged in short "chapters" that read like individual essays, each with a theme.
I would recommend it to anyone curious about Zen.2 people found this helpful
