Derrick's background in sports and 30 years in corporate America has allowed him to dream big and achieve success personally and professionally. Derrick and his wife, Yolanda, reside in Frisco, Texas, and have two adult children, Donovan and Derrick, Jr. Derrick was born and raised in Jackson, Michigan. He attended Western Michigan University on a football scholarship and obtained his bachelor's degree and master's degree. He was a 4-year letterwinner (1988 - 1991) as an outside linebacker and was a team captain during his final season. He was also a member WMU's 1988 Mid-American Conference Championship Team. Derrick and his wife Yolanda have been married since 2000. They own and operate a personal and professional development company called Success By Design, LLC.view less
