After receivi...view moreI was born in Mobile, Alabama in 1942. I graduated from Tulane University on a Navy scholarship and spent five years on active-duty teaching physics at the Naval Nuclear Power School. After receiving a Ph.D. in physics from Georgia Tech, I taught Physics and Astronomy at UNC Charlotte for almost 40 years, retiring in 2014.
After retiring, I began writing fiction and earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Queens University. In November 2020, my thesis, Tallapoosa: A Southern Novel, was published by SFK Publishing. My second book of fiction, The Art of Dying and other stories. I have published eleven books all together. I have recently begun oil painting. Some of my work can be seen on mikecorwinart.comview less
