Pilotti has been involved with research on Ganoderma species on oil palm, particularly G. boninense for c. 25 years. Prior to attachments in agriculture she worked in the forestry sector in Papua New Guinea in the areas of phytochemistry and fungal decay of timber.
She is currently working on the genetic diversity of coconut (Cocos nucifera) and is employed by the Pacific Community at the Centre for Pacific Crops and Trees (CePaCT).view less
